How it works

See who’s leading in fuel efficiency each week.

Every driver who finishes the month with an average of 7+ MPG will earn a reward of 1 cent per mile driven during that month!

Drivers who reach an average of 8+ MPG will receive a bonus of 2 cent per mile driven during that month!

The driver with the best annual average MPG will be recognized at the end of the year with an exclusive prize!

Each driver with an average of 7+ or 8+ MPG for the previous month will receive their bonus on the first payroll of the following month.

If you’re driving as a team and sharing the same truck, your fuel bonus is calculated based on the combined average MPG and total miles driven by both drivers.

Disclaimer

Owner operators are excluded from the driver incentive program and will not be eligible for monthly rewards. However, they will still appear in the weekly and monthly leaderboards to track and compare their performance alongside the rest of the fleet.

Rewards & Criteria
  • Drivers averaging 7+ MPG earn 1¢ per mile driven during that month.
  • Drivers averaging 8+ MPG earn 2¢ per mile driven during that month.

Example

  • 10,000 miles @ 7+ MPG → $100
  • 8,000 miles @ 7+ MPG → $80
  • 6,500 miles @ 7+ MPG → $65
  • 10,000 miles @ 8+ MPG → $200

Note: Bonuses will be paid on the first payroll of the following month.

Best Annual Average MPG — The driver with the best annual average MPG will be crowned the Top Driver of the Year and will be awarded an exclusive prize!

Actionable Tips to Improve MPG and Reduce Idling
  • Accelerate gently: Avoid sudden or rapid acceleration; press the gas smoothly.
  • Brake gradually: Anticipate stops to avoid hard braking.
  • Use cruise control: Hold a steady highway speed.

Drive steady at ~67 mph—small top-speed tradeoff, larger fuel-savings payoff.

  • Avoid idling: Burns nearly a gallon per hour.
  • Shut down on long stops: >5 minutes stopped → engine off.
  • Use APU / bunk heater: Prefer idle-reduction systems when equipped.
  • Inflate to spec: Under-inflation can cut MPG by 1–2%.
  • Low PSI = more drag: Check weekly.
  • Shift early to reduce engine strain.
  • Coast when you know you’ll stop.
  • Use engine braking where safe.
  • Smaller gap lowers aero drag.
  • Slide the 5th wheel close when allowed.

These devices cut air resistance and improve MPG.

Balanced loads reduce engine strain and improve fuel efficiency.

  • Adjust to conditions: In wind/rain, slow down.
  • Headwinds raise usage: If strong, adjust route or speed.

Avoid unnecessary stops, traffic, and wrong turns. Time = fuel.

Ask for feedback: Review reports regularly to spot improvements and adjust based on feedback.
